And no you don’t need to run to the farmers market to buy ALL the fresh tomatoes to make this  fire roasted salsa. Although that would be nice. In real life though, Canned tomatoes make it possible to have Fire roasted tomato salsa and chips whenever the munchies craving hits with no cooking required! – cuz sometimes i’m just not in the mood but I always wanna eat.

Equipment:

  • Can opener
  • Blender 
  • Paring Knife and cutting board

Ingredients:

  • Canned fire roasted tomatoes
  • White onion
  • Jalapeno , optional 
  • Cilantro 
  • Limes
  • Kosher salt

Let’s Make Easy Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa!

You know the drill.. Affix the cutting board to a flat surface. A damp paper towel will do the trick. Cut your onion in whatever pieces will make it easy for your blender to blend. The same for the jalapeno. TIP: for hot , leave the seeds And rib in, for medium remove them. The heat lives primarily in the rib (white membrane) of the pepper, not just the seeds. Read more here.

Place all ingredients but the lime juice in the blender. Blend till smooth or not.. Whatever rocks your boat.  Season to taste with kosher salt and lime juice.

Serve in bowls alongside Tortilla chips , some guac and plantain chips..  don’t forget the lemonade margaritas 😉

Ingredients

  • 1 14.5 oz can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1/2 White onion, halved
  • 1 Jalapeno , halved optional
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh Cilantro leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 tsp- 1 tsp Kosher Salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients but the lime juice in the blender. Blend
