Let’s make this Easy Shallot Vinaigrette!
Prep
First things first. Affix your cutting board to a flat surface with a damp paper towel. Peel and mince your shallot. You want it to be really small pieces, but not a paste. Mince or grate your garlic. I prefer grated, this way it sorta melts into the homemade vinaigrette. Finally, juice the lemon and measure out the vinegar and oil.
Cook
There’s no cooking here, just place all ingredients into your mason jar and screw the lid on. Shake vigorously! Thats it, all done. Taste for salt and pepper and adjust seasoning if need be.
Eat
Pour this easy homemade shallot vinaigrette on your fave salads – leafy, pasta, grain, anything goes. Use it marinate chicken or fish, drizzle on steamed fish (yum!) or veggies, or mix with mayo, yogurt or sour cream for a quick and easy dip / sandwich spread.
Need a lil Inspo? Then try my chicken, mixed greens and raw cauliflower salad – just swap out the caesar vin. or my roast salmon w/ tomato vin, yea you guessed it, swap out the tomato vin.
The possibilities are endless! Enjoy!
